Pin boards that help to grow your Pinterest Following | Kaleidoscope

Pinterest is far and away the biggest driver of traffic Kaleidoscope blog, it is also where many of my design clients first find me, so it makes sense to make the most of Pinterest by setting it up in a way that maximises your chance of connecting with like-minded Pinners. The best way to do this is through your Pin Boards.

There are specific Pin Boards that are super popular on Pinterest and adding them to your account will not only help you to organise your own pins, but increase the chances of other Pinners finding you and following you.

One thing I want to mention before I let you know what these super important boards are, is that everything you pin should fit in with your blog or business brand, both in look and content. Everything you do needs to relate back to your brand and this includes your pins.  So for each of the following boards, think about how you can put your own branded spin on them. For example if your style is minimal and clean-cut, pin fashion and interiors that reflect this style, and food and drink pins that are styled to suit etc.

The key to naming your Pin Boards is to use terms that people are likely to use when searching on Pinterest – nothing to obscure or “clever”. Simple and straight forward is best!

Set up “secret”, hidden Pin Boards for all the content you want to pin for your own reference that doesn’t fit with your brand. This gives you the best of both worlds!
